CREATE!’s field technicians have been busy interviewing beneficiaries about their experiences with CREATE!’s improved cookstoves.  Their findings are unanimous – women love the improved cookstoves!  In the communities of Diender, Thieneba, and Fass, beneficiaries are pleased with the efficiency and economy of the improved cookstoves.  Fama Fall claims that she now only needs a few small pieces of wood to cook her family’s three daily meals.  CREATE! Field Technician Moussa Ndiaye notes that before learning how to build CREATE!’s improved cookstoves, many women had to walk many miles to find enough wood to cook meals. Now, women can take just a few steps to pick up millet stalks, cow dung, baobab husks, and peanut shells to burn in their improved cookstoves.
